NeoNotes — news bias and agendas

Free Speech&Liberty&Headlines❝❝I reserve the right to tie anyone in semantic knots if I can do it with truth.
And if it's fun.
I am a troublemaker after all.
I'd say it's because the people "talking" the loudest and getting the most attention are anti-gun.
As nearly as I can tell, the radical anti-gun crowd is very small, and with the other gun control (victim disarmament) groups comprise maybe 40% of the population. But it looks like a majority by the coverage
They're killing their business and they don't know it.
Given a choice, people want their news somewhat balanced. If progressives and progressive causes had to face half the criticism that conservatives face every day, no one would trust any institution.
And that is not a bad thing.
Most of our institutions today are "top down." They've been imposed on us because self-appointed elites decided that it was best for us. They've been insulated from competition. For example, the Southern Poverty Law Center has a good mission. But thanks to government interference and media protection, they are the only Accepted Authority. That invites agendas and can corrupt anyone.
I personally believe that the major political parties are guilty of racketeering. What's more, they pretty much control who gets on the ballot. There is literally no way to change that without overwhelming public outcry or working through "the system." Well, we're seeing the beginning of overwhelming public outcry.
Government is not your friend. It's really that simple. Don't depend on government. And if you have to depend on government, triple check EVERYTHING and make damn sure it's temporary. Or you will have bigger problems tomorrow.❞❞
