I miscalled it

Well, it's official. Kyrsten Sinema beat Martha McSally by a hair. I miscalled it. The election was tight, much tighter than anyone thought it could be.
Looking back on it, I think the Arizona GOP leadership was so used to dictating to people, they forgot to listen to voters of all ages and groups. The leadership were so used to taking marching orders from the late unlamented senior Senator from Arizona that they didn't know how to make it work without him calling the shots.
It boiled down to "what have you done for us lately?" The GOP leadership assumed that people saw them as the party of change, so they didn't offer a place at the table to the people and groups that could make it happen.
