NeoNotes — Health care

There is a distinct difference between healthcare and health insurance.

Wage caps made employer supplied health insurance necessary. If you can't offer higher wages to attract employees, you have to offer something.

Government paying for selected health care under the cover of "insurance" drove prices up and availability down, just as it does every time government "manages" private enterprise. This was especially evident in Obamacare. Despite promises like "if you like your health insurance/doctor, you can keep your health insurance/doctor," Obamacare has resulted in fewer doctors and medical professionals, fewer businesses for routine medical procedures, less medical care in rural areas, and many more bureaucratic hurdles to setting up a new medical provider.

Which means that despite greater medical insurance for some, there has been less medical care for all including the ones with more insurance.

In other words, Obamacare f…ed you, made you pay for the "privilege," and demanded that you smile and give thanks while it was happening.

All because people couldn't recognize the difference between medical insurance and medical care.
