Who do you want to win?
That's the question I was asked. More or less.
It's also the wrong question. What they really mean is “who do you want IN CONTROL?”
It always bothers people when I answer the implied question and not what they actually said.
To me, the system isn't important. I want people choosing and living with the consequences of those choices. As long as their choice doesn't control another, I don't care what they choose.
That means no subsides. No special protections. An equal playing field that anyone can use to prove their ideas.
Do you believe Islam is the answer? Fine, if that is what you choose. You just can't choose for anyone except yourself. And as long as people or their property is not harmed, you can't do anything to them except talk. Even if they make choices you don't like. Especially if they make choices you don't like.
Their choice. Their consequences. Their responsibility. Not yours. The only way you can keep your freedom is to make sure everyone has it.
It really is that simple.
Imagine how much smaller government would be if people made their own choices.
Imagine the freedom.
I want people choosing and living with the consequences of those choices.
Is that really so hard?
