NeoNotes — Sexuality & society
❝❝You're talking about at least three different issues and you want my blanket approval? Like that is going to happen.
Sexuality - I could cite the statistics and studies, but I prefer to cut out the extra stuff. It doesn't matter to me who you sleep with as long as they are consenting adults and haven't promised to be someone else's one and only.
I suspect that sexual orientation is not as hard wired as some believe, but that is still individual choice. Unless I'm going to f…k that person, it has absolutely nothing to do with me.
Government financed studies and government sponsored "recruiting" to alternative sexualities - Really bad idea. Using tax monies collected by force to push an ideology that most do not agree with and many find repugnant? That pegs the stupidity meter. Don't get too cocky, I'd say the same thing if Christianity or conservatism was being given the same push. Or libertarianism. Or paganism. Or underwater basket weaving.
People should make their own choices and accept the consequences.
If they want to learn things, let them put in the effort and learn for themselves without the public dime.
Defining a sexual norm - see, this is where you're going to lose me and other potential allies fast. If it's a consenting adult and not someone else's one and only, why should you care? Why is it any of your business? Why in blazes is it SOCIETY's business? I guarantee that it you make it The Law with hundred foot letters chiseled into every city hall in America, there will be those who disagree and WILL FIND ways. That is more human nature than an arbitrary mass male/female pair off enforced by reproductive police.
The only thing I agree on in this case is that government should not be pushing alternative sexualities. That's it.❞ class="ghoster">❞
