At Dollar Vigilante, Wendy McElroy posted an excellent piece on the TSA and Real ID.
She makes some really great points, but there is one that struck me.
RealID is already law. The only thing that keeps it at bay now is a power struggle between the states and the Federal Government.
Does that sound familiar? It should. Obamacare is already law too. The Republican leadership in Congress shows no sign of repeal, even if they could get enough votes to override a certain veto. The only thing that could keep it at bay is a power struggle between the states and the Federal Government.
Unless enough people ay “ENOUGH!” and bring the Republic down.
There don’t seem to be any other options.
