NeoNote — The left today

NeoNotes&Politics❝❝Abortion is one of the classic examples of "gaming the system." Roe vs. Wade overturned existing law and slowed further action, all without a legislature or a public vote.
My own feelings on abortion are mixed. For now I'm not going to get into the morality. I just want to point out that instead of working within the system, existing law was forcibly changed without legislation or peaceful attempts at persuasion. This has become the defining mark of the left.
I say this as someone who doesn't like lumping people into labels.
We know that there is a protest industry built around a few people making noise and seeming like a huge popular movement. That's how we got campaign finance reform aimed at silencing conservative voices. That's a major reason these companies don't want to be labeled racist or anti-woman or whatever the complaint this week is. That's why rallies about the evils of capitalism are organized over iPhones and massive cellular networks. It's not about injustice, it's about the appearance of injustice. It's about circumventing the rule of law with engineered verdicts and bad publicity.
The Democrat candidate for President lost. Is there any examination of the message? Does anyone offer new solutions? No, they develop plans to expand the Supreme Court.
Socialism doesn't work, people know this and resist. So global warming or climate change is trotted out along with a moral imperative to act now and not ask too many questions.
To exploit victimhood, claims of widespread racism are shouted from the rooftops. "We can't wait for the law, no, we must take matters into our own hands." The KKK (in record low numbers of membership) is a threat, so there must be safe spaces and all the Bad People must be locked away. And if there aren't racist incidents, well, it's okay to pretend that there were. Yesterday. When no one was looking.
Not enough protesters? Some will be bused in.
Not enough people to overwhelm the border? They'll be transported in, some from across oceans.
Public spectacle to bypass the law and suppress dissent. That's what the left has become.❞❞
