If government doesn't trust you…
Let’s start with the basics. Individuals have rights. Those rights are not granted nor can they be rescinded by government.
Government, government agencies, and agents or those government agencies have powers.
The only reason government has powers is to protect your rights.
That’s it.
There is no other reason for government.
Of course, you shouldn’t take my word for it. Try this instead.
❝We the People of the United States, in Order to form a more perfect Union, establish Justice, insure domestic Tranquility, provide for the common defence, promote the general Welfare, and secure the Blessings of Liberty to ourselves and our Posterity, do ordain and establish this Constitution for the United States of America.❞
Pretty impressive, right? Not a thing about government granting rights. And funny thing, the only times the Constitution hasn’t worked has been when the politicos have tried to restrict the rights of individuals.
The Constitution is about restricting government power.
And that brings us to the first question up there in that banner at the top.
If government doesn’t trust you, why should you trust government?
Obamacare shows that the government doesn’t trust you.
Banning bullets shows that the government doesn’t trust you.
Regulating the internet shows that the government doesn’t trust you.
Putting you through scanners and making you disrobe in front of agents shows that the government doesn’t trust you.
Forcing you to buy health insurance shows that the government doesn’t trust you.
Stopping your car for a sobriety checkpoint shows that the government doesn’t trust you.
No knock warrants served by SWAT teams in the dark and early shows that the government doesn’t trust you.
Asset forfieture shows that the government doesn’t trust you.
I could list a hundred items without breaking a sweat here. Give me a couple days, I could list a few thousand.
We know it down deep.
Government does not trust you.
The only question really left is what are we going to do about it?
