I wasn’t going to say much about the Oscar flap. I don’t agree with many “Best Picutre” winners, and I certainly don’t agree with many “Best Actor” or “Best Actress” awards.
I’m still waiting for someone to tell me why there are “Best Actor” and “Best Actress” awards when they are all actors and doing the same thing.
Anyway, it’s looking more and more like the Acadamy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences will set aside a certain number of nominations for skin color.
How is that not racist?
And if in a few years, not enough of the “right” skin color wins, will that mean that a certain number of the awards will be set aside for skin color too?
Where does it stop?
