Comedy Censor

Fussing over Mohammed

Eric Goldman at IGN.com ran the Television Critics Association discussion with Matt Stone and Trey Parker of South Park fame. Part II has a brief mention of Comedy Central's censoring of Mohammed.

Comedy Central is a private entity, and frankly what they censor is their own business.

But it is hypocritical to censor Mohammed and not censor Jesus Christ in the same episode.

I'm not a regular viewer of South Park or even Comedy Central, but I did make a point of watching that episode.

It reminds me of my nomination for Quote of the Year and Maybe of the Decade.

If you let someone's religion control your expression, you'll always be at their mercy.
