Veteran's Administration discriminates against Wiccans

Not new news, but more people are paying attention now

I'm a little torn on this one.

On the one hand, I believe that the VA should put whatever symbol a serviceman's family chooses on the headstone, whether it is "appropriate" or not.

And considering the atheists have an approved symbol, I think it's silly that Wiccans do not.

Admittedly, the pentagram would not be my choice if I had served. I would probably prefer a wheel cross or triple moon, or maybe both together.

On the other hand, I have a real problem with government sanction of ANY faith system. It rapidly degenerates into which religions are "acceptable" and which are not.

Just as has happened in this situation.

Why is a government agency deciding which religions are approved and which are not?

Gentle nudge from Red Cedar Owl.
