Apple iPhone - Updated

Almost unbelievable handheld computer and communications

I just watched the Apple iPhone introduction.

Apple has another hit on it's hands.

I didn't believe it just from reading the news, I had to see Jobs use the gadget. As a handheld computer, I have never seen any other actual gadget come close.

It doesn't scan for life signs, but it comes close. You have to see it to believe it.

It's not that the iPhone is all that revolutionary in it's functions, it is just that does everything so elegantly. It is the interface and the deceptive simplicity of use that is going to wow them. It's iPod functions alone are going to blow people away.

That being said, it is far from perfect in my eyes. My 40 GB iPod is about half full with my music, and mine is pre-video. It is incredibly overpriced, if Apple ever introduces an unlocked model, expect it to go for about a thousand dollars.

And Cingular doesn't have coverage in my area.

Apple's stock rose on the news of the iPhone while other cell phone manufacturers stock sank. All this for a product that isn't even available yet. Even if Apple only gets it's one percent of the market, it's already stolen most of the mindshare.
