Anti-social social impulsesMy experience with
Facebook
I still don't get the Facebook thing. I've been
doing it for about five months, mainly as a way to get people to read my blogs.
And because there are a couple of friends who do Facebook more than anything
else.
But I really don't understand this "life by soundbite." I suppose that is why I don't do texting on my phone either. I look at it as a tool to use when the occasion demands it. What's more, when I do use it, I want to be sure to people pay attention. I'm thinking about culling my Facebook friends list. I don't mind "blipping" over the entries that don't interest me, heck, I've been doing that since the old Excite clubs. But some of them do two or three versions of the exact same entry, just submitted to different services. Spam is spam is spam. There are maybe two times I think I had something to say outside the blogs and put it on Facebook. Maybe it's not just a good place for a semi-hermit. Posted: Fri - February 26, 2010 at 12:21 PM
