WeatheredThe desert in winter

Yearnings.
My internet connection started being intermittent about a week ago Wednesday. It got worse over the weekend, and by Sunday evening I could barely load a page or get my email, much less do anything else. It was getting better, and by Thursday I had a decent connection. Then it started snowing. The Weather Channel called it the Western Wallop. In the desert, a little water goes a long way. In some places it doesn't take much more than an inch at a time to start flash floods. We got more than that all over Arizona. Now I'm in a rural location. My phone connections and internet go through Flagstaff. If anything messes up the connection between here and there, the only connection I have to the "outside" world is AM radio (ugghh) and cable television. But most of those channels died too late Thursday. It was absolutely gorgeous to watch, especially from a nice warm house. But I had no way to get online. And now I have a backlog of emails. Hopefully Monday I'll be able to get back to my schedule. Posted: Sat - January 23, 2010 at 01:57 PM
