Kicking cactus

Still can't connect to do uploads, even if I haven't been doing many

My family has a saying. Getting angry and staying angry at something is like kicking cactus. It does no good and just hurts your foot. I've just spent the last couple of hours navigating the mysteries of voice mail and yelling at customer service representatives three states away.

This business of not having reliable internet frustrates me.

The reason I switched to cable was so I wouldn't have problems like this.

DSL is not available for my house, and satellite providers don't play nice with Macs.

I can surf (sometimes) on the net, but I can't upload new pages. My backup dialup ISP won't let me upload pages at all.

The good news is that I got a partial credit on my cable bill for this month. The internet portion at least.

I want internet to have the same reliability as telephone, electrical, and water/sewer services. I really don't think that is too much to ask.
