What about nine years BEFORE hurricane Rita?Blaming the Republicans for Democrat

– Howard Dean, DNC chair and former Presidential candidate Why don't the Democrats talk about all the massive amounts of money that went to New Orleans before Rita and how it was spent on things other than the levees? Why don't they talk about government promising to save everyone and failing on that promise? Could it be because then they would have to admit that the massive government doesn't do what they have told everyone that it does? What we have in New Orleans is a failure in government, and before the hurricane stuck it was specifically a failure of the Democrat party. Nor is it a coincidence that the areas that HAVEN'T relied on the Federal and State governments to rescue them are much further along in their recovery.
