Enter illegally, get free land

"2 Illegal Immigrants Win Arizona Ranch in Court"

Now, obviously there are other things going on here. I don't know exactly what happened, or which "paramilitary" group was involved. Ranch Rescue doesn't seem to fit the bill exactly.

But the message that is being sent is clear. Get caught, sue, and end up with free land.

I want to draw particular attention to this paragraph.

"Certainly it's poetic justice that these undocumented workers own this land," said Morris S. Dees Jr., co-founder and chief trial counsel of the Southern Poverty Law Center in Montgomery, Ala., which represented the immigrants in their lawsuit.

Mr. Dees said the loss of the ranch would "send a pretty important message to those who come to the border to use violence."

Undocumented my foot. They entered in direct violation of US law and were rewarded for it.

Yes, the rancher was probably out of line. But what about the other ranchers in the area who aren't affiliated with a vigilante group? Are they supposed to just sit back and let their property be destroyed?

There is a huge mess and the FedGovs don't seem to be interested in solving it. What are people supposed to do?
