Who's got the wiretap?Democrats are making noise ONLY because a
Republican President is doing it
A few months ago, I said this about the illegal
wiretapping.
I bring this up not because I am interested in defending President Bush. I bring this up because certain Democrats will go too far, but only as long as a Democrat is in the White House. The whole argument boils down to "It's illegal because one of our guys isn't giving the orders." Nothing has changed. NOTHING at all. The same people who defended President Clinton are attacking President Bush. The only reason this is an issue is because it is not a Democrat calling the shots. If there were a Democrat in office, I've no doubt that there would be some overwhelming security need that the White House would trot out. If it's wrong for a Republican, it is wrong for a Democrat. Period.
