Democrats plan for Republican failure

But they can't produce leadership of their own

As John Fund points out in the Wall Street Journal, the Republicans could lose the U.S. House of Representatives in 2006 because of their own broken promises.

What concerns me more is that the Democrats still can't tell anybody what they stand for, although there is no doubt they stand against President Bush.

Here is a golden opportunity. There are a several issues that Democrats could use to take away the Republican base.

Spending is a big one.

Illegal immigration is another.

Social Security failure is a third.

The Medicare Drug benefit is still another.

But what do the House Democrats plan for if they take over the House?

More of the same.

It's government reflecting a partisan process, and a sure sign that the system is corrupt.
