Overblown war on Christmas

The definitive libertarian statement. Or at least the best I have seen so far.

Rogier van Bakel sums up the whole "Christmas War" perfectly.

The best way to cut the non-debate short, it seems to me, is by asking those who allege that there's a War on Christmas if they are being prevented from celebrating Christmas — with a tree, songs, prayer, presents, the works. I don't think anyone in the United States can genuinely answer that question in the affirmative. Ergo, there is no War on Christmas. Case closed.

Speaking for myself, it doesn't matter to me what you choose to do this time of year, with two important provisos. I don't think anyone should be forced, and I don't want tax dollars paying for or supporting any religious message.

Including my own.

Beyond that, I believe it is a matter between you and the Divine. And if you choose not to acknowledge the Divine, that is fine with me.
