Democrats call for censorship - UPDATEDABC miniseries is causing many Democrats
to forget the First Amendment
More stories about the Democrats and the ABC mini
series, The Path To 9/11. They certainly are making a
lot of noise.
It's hitting the press all over. ABC: '9/11' mini 'fictional' - The Hollywood Reporter ABC to Alter Show on Pre-9/11 Run-Up - The Washington Post Pols pound

Democrats urge ABC to withdraw 9/11 movie - Rueters The real story isn't that ABC dares to criticize Bill Clinton. After Primary Colors, I am not sure that criticism is a valid concern to Clinton anyway. It's not even if the movie got the story right. No, the real story is a bunch of Democrat politicos who want to control what you can and can not see. And before you ask, I wasn't exactly happy about the Reagan movie getting pulled either. I may not have agreed with the movie, but that was no reason to pull it. Funny that this should happen today. You see, today is when McCain-Feingold kicks in, and unless you are "press," you can't legally criticize politicos on television or radio until after the general election. Except for a court decision, that would apply to the internet as well. Notice that the Democrats and progressives are now indulging in the same behavior that they thought the Bush White House was going to do with Fahrenheit 9/11. When the politicians attack free speech, look out. Let people see for themselves and make up their own minds. UPDATE: It seems worse than I thought. Some Democrat Senators are making veiled threats against ABC's broadcast license. I couldn't make this stuff up if I tried. The complete text of the letter (with some commentary interspersed) can be found here. And while I am at it, I thought I would remind people that this isn't the first time a Clinton tried to suppress something. Posted: Fri - September 8, 2006 at 05:48 AM
